I’m Shari Reynolds and I created Wanderers Retreat House as a space for rest, inspiration, and community—a place where travelers can feel at home while discovering something new in the inspiring Texas Hill County. It’s the next chapter in a lifelong love affair with travel and the stories it brings to life.
I’ve always believed that travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how it makes you feel.
My own journey has been shaped by a lifelong love of exploration, curiosity, and connection.
I began my high tech career in Austin at Dell before launching my own digital marketing agency, which I ran for over 30 years in the US and Mexico. Along the way, I found myself drawn more and more to the hospitality world—helping boutique hotels in Mexico share their stories and welcome travelers from all over the world.
For 18 years, Mexico was my home. It’s where I deepened my love of travel, honed my skills in hospitality marketing, and embraced the joy of living in new places. Travel has always been my teacher and my greatest joy.
After nine months of solo travel last year, I landed in Comfort and knew I’d found the perfect place to put down roots. I opened Wanderers Retreat House in the summer of 2025 to share that same sense of magic and discovery.
